Tips To Brew a Perfect Espresso

Many people are daunted by the task of brewing a perfect espresso, and they can often get frustrated and want to throw in the towel. Don't let that happen to you! There are just a few things to remember to help you to brew the most perfect espresso possible that will be topped with a velvety rich crema to be envied by baristas nationwide.

  • First, make sure that your portafilter is completely cleaned out from all used espresso grounds before starting the brewing process.
  • Next, you will want to dose the 7 g of freshly ground espresso beans into your portafilter. Tamp the grounds well to make the espresso even to withstand the pressure during the brewing process.
  • Do not let your espresso shot brew for more than 25 seconds, which is the optimal time for brewing a shot of espresso.
  • It is best to warm your cup, either by keeping it on top of your machine or with hot water, before brewing the espresso into it.

Remember that practice makes perfect, so don't get discouraged in honing your craft to brew the best espresso possible!
