Starbucks Sued By Dyslexic Woman
If you haven't heard it all yet, then here's something else to make you even more frustrated at the world today. Apparently, a woman was driving with her Starbucks cup in hand, and she began to read the warning label on the cup. She ended up crashing into another driver, and since it was her fault, she is facing criminal charges.Even worse, she decided that the best way to handle the situation was to blame the whole thing on Starbucks because she was DYSLEXIC. Now, I have no idea what that has to do with reading while you're driving, whether you have a learning disability or not. She said that the label was confusing to her because it was in such a small print, and she had a hard time deciphering it because of her dyslexia. However, there is no reason that anyone, I repeat anyone, should be reading while they are driving, no matter how well they read!
She is in the middle of a multimillion dollar lawsuit against Starbucks, so it will be interesting to see what happens. Too bad we are in such a sue-happy society that people can't even drink a simple cup of coffee anymore without wanting to press charges!
