The Rising Popularity of the Asian Coffee Culture

The Asian culture is most known for drinking tea, but it seems that a coffee culture is on the rise in Asia!

Starbucks is now a prevalent coffee chain in Asia, and it appears to be mostly embraced by young professionals who may have gone to school in Europe and the United States. Right now, 60% of coffee drinkers in Hong Kong prefer coffee purchased from Starbucks, which you can compare to only 14% of coffee drinkers in the United States.

It seems that Starbucks is being embraced by Asia with open arms, and it thrives in large cities like Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Beijing. Coffee is currently being imported into China from 50 different countries, and China itself is becoming a small coffee producing region. If you are a world traveler interested in a cup of Joe, then Asia is definitely the place to go!
