How is Instant Coffee Different From Regular Coffee?

If you are a coffee drinker, the odds are that you may feel that it is almost a sin to drink instant coffee. The truth of the matter is that flavors in instant coffee have come a long way, though it is always preferable to have a freshly brewed cup of Joe.

Instant coffee is made by dehydrating coffee grounds, and the preferred method of instant coffee is freeze dried versus spray dried. When instant coffee is spray dried, it is brought to a high temperature to remove moisture from the coffee grounds. This can compromise the flavor of the coffee. If you choose freeze dried instant coffee, it is frozen to remove the moisture, so the final instant coffee product will be more authentic.
