What To Expect From Puerto Rican Coffee

Puerto Rico is a country full of delicious flavors and cuisine, but one aspect to take note of is their coffee production. Coffee has been cultivated in Puerto Rico for more than 300 years, and it was brought there from Costa Rica in the 1700s.

Puerto Rico is an ideal coffee growing country because of the high altitude. This altitude provides a cloud cover for the coffee crops, which allows them to grow slowly so that their flavors develop more deeply. Puerto Rican coffee is a much more robust coffee variety, and it is full-bodied and rich in its taste. One reason that many consumers prefer Puerto Rican coffee is because it is a much less expensive choice because it is a domestic product in the United States.
