Kona Coffee History

If you are familiar with Kona coffee, then you may already know that it is a high end and in demand gourmet coffee roast. Kona coffee is actually grown in Kona, Hawaii, which is the perfect environment for growing a premium coffee crop!

One of the main reasons that Kona coffee is so in demand compared to other harvests all over the world is because it is grown in such a small location. The growing district for Kona coffee measures 2 miles wide by 20 miles long, which means that a smaller harvest is produced on a yearly basis. This makes Kona coffee much more expensive because it is in demand, especially compared to the many other varieties of coffee produced all over the world.

Kona coffee is delicious because it is grown in the perfect temperate Hawaiian climate. It has protective cloud covering from being grown on a mountainside, since too much sun can weaken the growth of the coffee trees. It also has enough sun to allow the beans to mature to a full and delicious flavor!
