Australian Doctors Advised To Drink More Coffee

Why in the world would the Queensland Health Department recommend for Australian doctors to drink more coffee? This was a guideline set in place by the Queensland Health Department regarding fatigue in doctors on the job.

The Queensland Health Department does defend themselves by saying that they did first of all advocate that all doctors should get the proper amount of rest, and then they recommended that they should drink 5 to 6 cups of coffee each day to use the caffeine to help them stay alert and focused on the job. The Australian Medical Association was appalled by this recommendation because they felt that it was careless advice, especially when people's lives were on the line.

Regardless of your job, keep in mind that it is important to get enough rest, but you can also use the caffeine in coffee as a helpful stimulant when you drink your Java in moderation. It is recommended to split up your coffee drinking throughout the day so that you don't experience a caffeine crash, and you also will keep your metabolism high as a result.
