Use Coffee Grounds To Fertilize

Just when you feel like you have heard it all, you can now use used coffee grounds to fertilize your garden! The reason for this is that coffee grounds do have a natural acidity, so the microbes within the soil will work to break down this acidity to neutralize the pH, which creates an even more fertile soil environment.

If you are an avid gardener and an eco-friendly coffee drinker, then you are going to love being able to recycle your used coffee grounds. Interestingly enough, coffee grounds do attract worms to the garden, so it is helpful to use discarded coffee grounds to promote worm activity.

Coffee grounds do have a high acid content, as you may have already noticed in your cup of Joe, and they are beneficial for plants that grow best in acidic soil. For instance, you can use the addition of coffee grounds in your garden to grow blueberries or tomatoes, which are both plants that will thrive with the use of coffee grounds in the soil.
