Can Coffee Improve Mental Focus?

A recent study from the University of Alberta showed the results of a group of 20 women ages 18 to 37 in coffee improving their alertness and mental focus!

The study compared 10 women who were regular coffee drinkers and 10 who had less than two servings of coffee on a weekly basis. The women that drank a cup of coffee immediately after breakfast were able to perform well on a mental test, showing that even one cup of coffee provides a dramatic benefit in increasing alertness and mental focus.

The bottom line is that regular coffee consumption at up to 2 to 3 cups per day is a wonderful way to maintain energy levels, improve focus, and drink to your health!

Is Caffeine in Coffee Good For Women?

Many women out there may be concerned about their caffeine intake, especially when it comes to how much coffee they drink on a regular basis. If that sounds like you, then the great news for you to know is that new studies have shown that drinking coffee regularly actually benefits your health!

In a recent study done on over 4,000 aging women in France and Portugal, it showed that regular caffeine consumption in coffee improved their mental alertness and prevented dementia. These benefits increased over time, meaning that the women that were 65 years old showed 30% less dementia, and the women who were 80 years old showed 70% less dementia with regular caffeinated coffee drinking.

Drink your caffeinated coffee in moderation at 2 to 3 cups per day to benefit your health!

Coffee Does Not Cause Heart Failure!

In the past, there was a study done on coffee drinkers that showed that coffee consumption was potentially linked to heart failure. However, a recent study done on 37,000 men in Sweden showed no connection between coffee drinking and heart failure.

Within the study, only 784 men developed heart failure over a nine-year period, and it had nothing to do with their coffee intake. This study was not done on women, so the results could differ, but it does not seem likely. It has been proven that there is no association between coffee and heart failure, and coffee may have a neutral or even protective effect on the health of the heart.

The initial studies that were done that showed a negative report on coffee consumption were only done retrospectively, which means that heart attack sufferers were questioned about their coffee consumption. Because of this reason, they were inaccurate, and coffee has been proven not to cause heart failure!

How Does Coffee Affect Your Health?

Where do I even begin? Coffee has so many new developing health benefits that it is a shame not to drink it!

In a study done by the Harvard School of Public Health, coffee drinkers showed a reduced risk for gallbladder disease and gallstones. This was compared to those who drank decaffeinated coffee and did not see the same benefits. Coffee also does have the ability to reduce the risk for Parkinson's disease and Alzheimer's. The studies were done on heavier coffee drinkers who consumed up to 3.5 cups per day, so this is wonderful news for Java junkies.

Coffee also has been proven to improve IQ and short-term recall. This means that if you want to function better at work on a daily basis and become an all-star employee or employer, then drink to your health with a cup of Joe!
