What Temperature Should You Serve Your Coffee At?

Temperature is not necessarily an opinion anymore when you are talking about coffee. Many people love to enjoy their Java scalding hot, and others prefer it to be at room temperature. So what is the best temperature range to enjoy your coffee at?

As you may remember, there was a lawsuit against McDonald's years ago where a customer was scalded by spilling hot coffee on themselves. McDonald's did lose the lawsuit because they were serving their coffee at a range of 195°F to 205°F. However, the ideal coffee drinking temperature should be at 155°F to 175°F. There is a significant difference there! When you serve your coffee too hot, it will cause the essential oils to evaporate, which will directly affect the taste and aroma of your cup of Joe.

Take the time to temp your coffee before you drink it to ensure that you are sipping the finest Java product available to you!

Temperature Regulating Coffee Mugs?

There is a new material called PCM being used to create temperature regulating coffee mugs, which means that you never have to accidentally take a sip of a cold cup of Joe again!

We have all been guilty of leaving our cup of coffee on our desk while we work, only to forget about it hours later and have cold coffee on our hands. This temperature regulating coffee mug will enable you to keep your coffee at the perfect temperature for a half an hour. It works because the PCM, or phase change material, can change its form from a solid to a liquid inside the structure of the mug. This means that it can take the heat from the coffee, and the material inside the mug will melt into wax. When the coffee cools, the material will solidify and distribute the heat back into the coffee beverage. Amazing!

There are other mug choices available to keep beer and iced drinks cool, but the only downside is that you have to purchase a separate mug for cool drinks. Either way, you can count on enjoying your Java for longer periods of time with the use of this advanced coffee mug technology!
