The men within the study were moderate caffeinated coffee drinkers, and they both absorbed the caffeine in coffee well. This caused the metabolism to increase in both of the subject groups, with it being slightly higher in the group of younger men. The result was that both younger and older men saw a thermogenic result from ingesting caffeine, which is fat burning caused by caffeinated coffee drinking.

Last of all, there was a recent drink introduced in the Las Vegas International Society of Sports Nutrition Conference that had additions to a coffee beverage containing chromium, hydroxycitric acid, and bitter orange to boost the metabolism by up to 30%. I'll drink to that!
