Can Diabetics Drink Coffee?

If you are diabetic and wanting to still enjoy your cup of Joe, then you can drink it in moderation! It is recommended to drink around 3 cups of coffee per day, and regular coffee drinkers also have been proven to have a third less risk of developing diabetes later on in life.

Coffee is full of antioxidants, which will protect the body from free radical damage. Coffee contains more antioxidants than chocolate, tea, or red wine, and it is also a wonderful source because we drink so darn much of it! If you are diabetic, you can drink coffee on a daily basis to offer you the potential to control your blood sugar. Coffee also has been proven to provide a number of benefits in preventing other diseases for a longer life.

Keep in mind that all of these studies were done on caffeinated coffee drinkers and not the decaf variety!
