This is an extremely popular treat that is perfect for any gathering of family or friends. It is a wonderful creation that is easy to make and even easier to enjoy.
Ingredients:
2 cups room temperature espresso or black coffee
1/2 cup sugar
2 tbsp. coffee liqueur
1 tsp. lemon zest
Begin by mixing all of your ingredients together until the sugar is thoroughly dissolved. Pour your mixture into a metal pan that is 9 x 13", and place it in your freezer for about half an hour. Take your pan from the freezer, and use a fork to stir and scrape any crystals that have formed. Put your pan back in the freezer, and repeat this method every 1/2 hour for 4 hours until it is completely frozen. At that point, use your fork to stir the flakes again and allow them to set and dry for 30 more minutes in the freezer. Your final product should look like fluffy, brown crystals which are your dessert. You can serve this with whipped cream and additional lemon zest to your liking. Enjoy!
