    French press grinder suggestions

I been using a crappy blade grinder for my French press, which hardly works. I was thinking of checking out a manual grinder, but I was worried about the coarse grind being to uneven. Do you think this is a common issue that occurs with manual grinders? Would anybody recommend the best type of grinder for a course French press grind?

First of all, what is your budget? Are you only going to grind for a French Press, or do you need the grinder to be adjustable for drip brew and espresso as well?

Thanks for asking. I should have said that myself LOL. I’d like something somewhat inexpensive, may be $80-$100 at the very max. If you couldn’t tell, that is why I was looking into a hand grinder because they are pretty cheap.

I would suggest the GSI manual grinder myself, although it was difficult to hold properly the first few times I used it. Just a tip, if you hold it in your lap, it works a lot better and faster. If you check out the reviews on Amazon, a lot of customers have had to do the same thing because the grinder is somewhat awkward to hold but effective.

I’m still using a blade grinder myself, for shame! but I have seen exceptional reviews for the Breville grinder. It’s less than $100 on Amazon.
